Patricia is a Registered Clinical Counsellor offering individual, group, and family therapy to children, youth, adults, and families. She holds a Masters’ degree in Child and Youth Care and is currently undertaking her doctorate at the University of Victoria. As a clinician, Patricia works from a strengths-based and trauma-informed framework. She has training in numerous methods of therapy including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (C-DBT), emotionally focused family therapy (EFFT), narrative therapy, mindfulness techniques, trauma-informed yoga, nature-based therapy, and expressive play therapy, as well as training in radically open dialectical behaviour therapy (RO-DBT) and emotion focused family therapy for eating disorders (EFFT).
Patricia specializes in eating disorders, and internalizing disorders, such as anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression. She also works with families to resolve conflict, communicate effectively, provide parenting support, and increase family connectedness.
